Kreft Moto Suspension Box:

  • We can ship you one of our boxes designed to ship a set of forks and a shock. This is free when you place a deposit for suspension services. Available for Kreft Moto customers only.

Tips for packing your suspension:

  • Shipping insurance. Insure your shipment for at least $2,500. We suggest $4,500 for new bikes.

  • Shipping carriers. UPS and FedEx are both reliable. The UPS Store retail locations charge a premium. Use a business account if you have access to one at work.

  • Remove fork air bleeders. Remove push-button air bleed devices and install the stock screws in fork caps (bleed buttons leak oil during transport!).

  • Gun cases. These work well if large enough for all components. Separate the components with foam or other packing material to prevent the pieces from contacting each other. Cover the case latches with tape to prevent them from opening accidentally. Note UPS charges ~ $11 surcharge for gun cases not in cardboard boxes.

  • Cardboard boxes. A large cardboard box, roughly 48 x 10 x 10, is also a good shipping container, but some additional packing is required. Wrap each component individually in bubble wrap or foam, and fill the void space in the box with foam. Please do NOT use packing peanuts, they are a huge mess and aren’t easily disposed.

  • Bubble wrap. Use 5/16″ bubble wrap. Large 1/2″ bubbles pop easily and will not protect your suspension.

  • Foam wrap. Foam sheeting is a good packing material. If necessary, layer it to achieve at least 1/4″ thickness.

  • NO Packing Peanuts - Please AVOID using packing peanuts. They create a mess and are annoying to deal with when unpacking your suspension.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING INFORMATION:

Kreft Moto strives to make our services accessible for anyone willing to send us their suspension. International shipping can prove to be difficult at times due to the high variability of each country's laws and regulations regarding import and export of goods. Because of this difficulty, it is the customers’ responsibility to properly research their country’s import/export needs before conducting business with Kreft Moto.


Here is some information that may aid in research:

  • Ask your local shipping company for information!

  • The original manufacturer of WP suspension components is WP of Austria.

  • Taxes and fees of the receiving country will be calculated from the final invoice which will also be the “customs” value in USD. If an estimate is needed for research, please contact us.

  • Import/Export taxes and Fees will NOT be included in shipping fees charged by Kreft Moto. These fees will typically need to be paid by the recipient before being released from customs.

  • The HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) code we typically use for Motorcycle Suspension is 8714.10.

  • Kreft Moto will bill the customer appropriately, and standard international shipping documentation will be provided as part of our services via FedEx unless other arrangements are expressly made in advance.

  • Kreft Moto will NOT be held responsible for paying import/export taxes, duties, or other fees associated with shipping goods to or from our facility.
